Abducted post office manager's wife freed

Her ordeal, which began just minutes after her husband left their southside Dublin home, ended when she was released unharmed by the kidnappers.

Gardaí believe the three men let her go after hearing on a scanner the scale of the operation that had been launched to find her. Local gardaí were joined by armed members of the Emergency Response Unit and air support, while roadblocks were placed at points around south Dublin.
