Results prove men can’t stand kitchen heat

MEN are unmitigated disasters in the kitchen, this year’s Junior Certificate results prove.

Ten times as many girls as boys got A’s in home economics, a gender analysis of the results of this year’s 63,000 plus students shows.

The skills they gleaned playing with Mechano and Lego still stand to them though. The only subjects in which they dominated in this year’s analysis of grades are materials technology wood, technical graphics and metalwork.
