A NEW €90 million wing attached to a Dublin hospital has been empty for months while patients continue to be treated in antiquated units once used to care for people with TB.

Deputy Labour Party leader Joan Burton said the Government was refusing to give a date for the opening of the new wing at the James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.

And, she warned, the situation only deepened the crisis at the hospital.
