IRELAND’S tourism sector will benefit greatly from the country’s forthcoming European Union presidency, Minister for European Affairs Dick Roche said yesterday.

During the first half of 2004 more than 100 meetings will bring thousands of visitors to the country.

Events will be spread across Ireland rather than just being held in Dublin.
