Hundreds call Childline on Christmas Day

FOUR HUNDRED children called Childline on Christmas Day. The calls received indicate that a significant number of children are spending a lot of time around Christmas on their own.

Many callers to Childline on Christmas Day said they were deeply disappointed at the way their Christmas turned out.

An analysis of the calls show that a growing number of children, particularly teenagers, feel increasingly isolated within their own families.
