Students excel in exciting quiz clash

KANTURK’S Mercy Secondary School (Scoil Mhuire Kanturk) and Coachford College last night progressed to the second round proper of the Thomas Crosbie Holdings schools quiz after two exciting encounters in Macroom.

The two qualifying sessions were the last of the first-round sessions in the Cork region, where 12 local schools have now progressed to the next round.

Countrywide, a total of 54 schools have advanced.
