Close finish in schools quiz

THERE was a nail-biting finish to the TCH All Ireland Schools Quiz held in Bantry last night.

A mere four points separated winners Árd Scoil bPobal Beanntraí from their nearest worthy competitors Beara Community School.

Quiz number 10 was held at The Westlodge Hotel in Bantry and resulted in a win for Árd Scoil bPobal Beanntraí with a score of 106.

The team consisted of Catherine Lynch, Brendan McGrath, Patrick Delaney and Brian Casey.

In second place with a score of 102 points was Beara Community School and in third place with 94 points was Schull Community College.
