THE man who stole Christmas from thousands of children has a fortnight to pay mortgage arrears or risk losing his luxury 10-bedroom home.

Adrian Smith, who was behind the failed Winter Wonderland visitor attraction in the Curragh, was not present at Portlaoise Circuit Court yesterday where papers were lodged by the Irish Nationwide Building Society.

The 35-year-old father of four fled to Britain after the €2m venture collapsed.
