Kildare drivers most likely to pick up points

A SURVEY by the Irish Examiner shows that drivers from Kildare are most likely to pick up penalty points, while motorists from Donegal have the best record for avoiding traffic offences.

Kildare drivers most likely to pick up points

Figures supplied by the Department of Transport show that 11.1% of all licence-holders in the Republic had picked up penalty points by the end of February 2006.

More than 250,000 road users have been caught for various motoring offences since the introduction of the penalty points system in October 2002.
