Bring in black cabs for wheelchair users, says Green Party

LONDON black cab-style taxis should be introduced to Dublin streets to ensure wheelchair accessibility, the Green Party proposed yesterday.

The party wants to improve the standard of taxi services and ensure that wheelchair users are properly catered for.

Dublin should have a single taxi regulator under the proposed Greater Dublin Planning and Transport Authority, Green Party transport spokesman, Eamon Ryan, said.
