Judge Curtin’s medical state to be decided

THE Oireachtas committee investigating the possible impeachment of Judge Brian Curtin will make a watershed decision this morning on whether to adjourn its work for three months in light of the judge’s medical state.

After a lengthy meeting yesterday, the committee meets again to decide if the Circuit Court Judge is medically fit to engage with its work.

Although the committee has the power to force the judge to appear before it, his legal team argues he is medically unfit to attend or deal with its deliberations.
