GARDAÍ don’t expect to progress their investigation into dramatic allegations made by the woman at the centre of a dig in south Dublin.

No progress expected after dig for dead baby

The woman claimed she had given birth to a still-born baby boy in 1976, when she was 15, and that the baby was buried in the back garden of her childhood home in Dalkey.

Gardaí carried out an excavation of the garden, but did not find any remains.
