CHARLES HAUGHEY made a rare public appearance yesterday when he was among the chief mourners at the funeral of his brother, Paraic, in Dublin.

The former Taoiseach, who suffers from prostate cancer, was pale and drawn as he joined members of his family to pay last respects to his younger brother.

Despite his fall from political grace, Mr Haughey, aged 78, was warmly greeted by many among the large congregation who attended the funeral mass at the Church of Our Lady of Consolation, Donnycarney.
