Meningitis TV ad helps save Reece’s life

A SIMPLE twist of fate, a TV ad and an alert ambulance driver saved six-year-old Reece McKeown’s life.

The youngster from Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, started complaining of a pain in his leg two weeks ago. He also had a high temperature.

His mother Sharon took him to their local GP who said Reece had an infection in his hip and advised he be taken to Wexford General Hospital for an X-ray.
