McDowell jostled by protesters

JUSTICE Minister Michael McDowell was jostled by protesters during a scuffle in University College Dublin last night.

He was due to address a Progressive Democrats meeting at UCD when he and a garda escort were confronted by demonstrators in the Belfield campus.

The minister had his jacket pulled but was escorted through the crowd by gardaí.
