Body of man found in stream

GARDAÍ were last night visiting the homes of families of missing men who match the general description of a man whose body was found face down in a stream in a north Wicklow nature reserve.

The body was discovered around 8.30pm on Tuesday by a man out walking in the Glen of the Downs reserve.

A major investigation has been launched by gardaí, who described his death as suspicious, meaning the initial ground work, including the forensic examination of the scene, mirrors that of a murder probe.
