Child sex advocate guilty of smuggling photos

AN Irishman who campaigned to legalise child sex has been found guilty of smuggling indecent photographs of children in Britain.

Thomas O’Carroll, 56, originally from Carlow, was convicted of three charges of being knowingly concerned in the importation of indecent material by a jury at London's Southwark Crown Court.

The jury was unable to reach verdicts on four similar charges, which were ordered to lie on file by the judge.
