Gardaí issue image to aid murder case

WORKERS in the building and restaurant industries are being asked if they knew the Slovakian man murdered last weekend.

Gardaí attempting to establish the last movements of the man killed at the weekend have issued an image of him in an attempt to jog the memories of potential witnesses.

Roman Godla was discovered injured outside his Cabra Park home in Dublin late on Sunday evening.

He died shortly after being taken to the Mater Hospital with severe head injuries.

Detectives investigating are still unsure about the 32-year-old’s movements the days before he died.

It is believed he started work on a building site in Dublin city centre last Saturday.

It is likely to have been his first day on the job.

He also may have worked as a kitchen porter in a restaurant in Dublin within the past few weeks.

“Anyone who may have worked with the deceased or who may have seen Roman prior to his death on the 12th of September is asked to contact the gardaí in Mountjoy at 6668666,” said a garda spokesman.
