Eighteen-year-old Fergal Rooney from Dooradoyle expressed delight
after completing the paper yesterday afternoon.
“It was very fair and everything we went over came up. The physical and regional questions provided a great choice,” he said.
Lorraine McGowan, 19, of Raheen was also pleased with the exam, particularly the good choice of questions.
Lorcan Bourke, 18, from North Circular Road, also welcomed the honours paper.
“Everything I thought was going to be on the paper came up. There were no surprises and the field study question was a nice topic,” he said.
Cormac Daly, 18, of Raheen, thought the whole paper was straight-forward and fair, with particular delight about the regional question and the map question.
Claire Byrnes and Jennifer McGrath thought the paper was quite hard.
“The countries’ question was hard, but the economical geography was grand because we had it well prepared beforehand,” said Jennifer.
The ordinary level geography paper was also welcomed by many students at Crescent Comprehensive.
“There was also a good choice in the questions and the paper was pretty fair,” said Ken Hurley from Fedamore.
