Security guard charged with killing kick-boxer

A SECURITY guard was charged yesterday with the murder of a man in a Dublin pub just over a fortnight ago.

Bernard Dempsey, aged 47, is accused of killing kick-boxing champion James Curran at the Green Lizard pub on Sunday April 3 last.

Dempsey’s arrival at Kilmainham District Court in a garda car was greeted with hoots of support from family and friends gathered outside the courthouse.
