MOLLY MALONE yesterday added a jaunty air to the launch of Pink Ribbon Day, the key fundraising event in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The famous Dub was aided and abetted by model Andrea Roche and TV3 newsreader Gráinne Seoige who put their shoulders to the wheel of Molly’s barrowful of flowers and ribbons.

This is the fourth year that Action Breast Cancer, an Irish Cancer Society project, and Boots the chemists have joined forces for ‘Be Up Front’, a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of the disease. Breast cancer claims the lives of 630 Irishwomen annually and almost 1,700 new cases are diagnosed each year.
