Nicky makes a point to star of the future Cuffe

YOUNG Lee Cuffe, whose ambition is to patrol the net for Dublin’s hurling team, yesterday got top goalkeeping tips from former Tipperary marksman Nicky English.

“He’s excellent,” said an excited Lee, 12, who described how Nicky showed him how to quickly stop and clear the ball before onrushing forwards get a second chance.

“I’d love to play for the Dubs. I’m definitely going to be there for the three days,” said Lee from East Wall. “If I wasn’t doing this I’d probably be sitting at home in my garden.”
