Support drops for common EU defence and foreign policy
More than half those asked said they would like Ireland to share foreign policy with the other 14 member states. The figure is down from 61% to 51% between November last year and February this year.
Support for a common defence, security and military policy among EU members was at its lowest in two years with just 46% of Irish people in favour. One in four of those questioned said they did not know nor had any view on the matter.
