More students ‘thinking of suicide’

MORE college students than ever are considering committing suicide, an expert warned yesterday.

Deirdre Flynn, director of Trinity College’s student counselling service, has worked with third-level students for more than a decade.

“I have experienced an increase in the number of students declaring that they have suicidal thoughts and feelings,” Ms Flynn said.
