Bush will bid to kick-start North peace process

US PRESIDENT George W Bush will attemptto kick-start the Northern Ireland peace process when he holds a surprise war summit in Belfast on Tuesday.

The war in Iraq will obviously be the main item on the agenda when Mr Bush meets British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

However, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern will also meet with Mr Bush and Mr Blair at Hillsborough to discuss the stalled peace process, along with the leaders of the three main pro-Good Friday Agreement parties the Ulster Unionist Party, Sinn Féin and the SDLP.
