SF economic policy would increase taxes

COLIN HUNT believes that Sinn Féin wants a fundamentally different economic that involves significant increase in Government expenditure.

It follows, he says, that this will lead to a serious increase in taxation. The question for him is from where is it going to be garnered.

“The party advocates a fairer tax system without spelling out what that means. Nobody is ideologically opposed to the concept of fairness, but their policies would certainly mean significant increases in tax among certain entities and in certain categories.
