Irish Independent - correction

AN article in the 2nd September issue quoted circulation figures for a number of newspapers.

All figures quoted were certified by the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC). However the circulation figures for both versions of the Irish Independent should not have been combined for the purpose of the year on year comparisons as the compact version was launched in February 2004. ABC have asked that we clarify the Irish Independent ABC total average circulation figures are as follows:

Broadsheet 129,035 - 82,771 Compact 52,045 - 81,431.
