Star is shorn from top Dublin hotels
The four hotels are the Shelbourne on St Stephen’s Green; the Conrad Hotel on Earlsfort Terrace; Jury’s Doyle Hotel in Ballsbridge and the Radisson SAS Hotel in Stillorgan.
However, the decision is being appealed to an independent board consisting of representatives of Fáilte Ireland and the Irish Hotels Federation.
The outcome could impact on their pricing and marketing policies.
In the interim, the hotels will be allowed to retain their five-star status.
