Star is shorn from top Dublin hotels

A QUARTET of Dublin’s leading hotels have lost their valued five-star rating in a controversial interim decision by the awarding body, Excellence in Tourism, this week.

The four hotels are the Shelbourne on St Stephen’s Green; the Conrad Hotel on Earlsfort Terrace; Jury’s Doyle Hotel in Ballsbridge and the Radisson SAS Hotel in Stillorgan.

However, the decision is being appealed to an independent board consisting of representatives of Fáilte Ireland and the Irish Hotels Federation.
