Honorary degree for Chamber CEO

ONE of Cork’s leading business figures was awarded an honorary degree yesterday.

UCC conferred Michael Geary with a Master of Arts for his work with the Cork Chamber of Commerce.

Mr Geary became chief executive of the chamber in 1996. Since then membership has grown to over 900 businesses and the stature of the Chamber has been significantly enhanced.
