THE State could make €2 billion from the sale of Mountjoy Prison for residential and commercial development, it was claimed yesterday.

With tenders being sought for redevelopment of the 20-acre site, Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works Tom Parlon said it could be one of the most lucrative property deals in the history of the state.
