Ahern to push ahead with e-voting plan

TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern last night maintained that electronic voting will be in place for the local and European elections in June.

Mr Ahern emphatically said that e-voting would go ahead at a press conference in Government buildings.

His ringing endorsement came amid fresh doubts being expressed yesterday that the necessary legislation would be in place in time for the June elections.
