Children’s religious TV series to get new run
Shepherd Films, headed by Dublin solicitor and property tycoon Noel Smyth, produced The Story Keepers, which was first screened in 1998. It has since been sold to broadcasters in around 90 countries in 25 different languages, and has been a particular hit on RTÉ and ITV, where it was a regular top-rating show on Sunday mornings.
The show’s Irish connections were obvious in the Irish accent of Jesus, who appeared in the parables and other stories as told by the main character Ben the Baker and his First Century Christian family.
