Murdered Slovakian man arrived in country last month

A SLOVAKIAN man beaten and left to die outside his home had only arrived in Ireland a few weeks ago, it emerged last night.

Roman Godla, who was discovered fatally injured with head wounds on Sunday night, arrived in Dublin some time in August, detectives believe.

Those leading the investigation into the murder believe he was working in a restaurant in Dublin for a few weeks prior to taking a job on a building site in the city.
