‘Jack is happy, has a loving family and his mum works’

IN the whirlwind, fickle world of fashion that demands so much of Miriam Flahive’s time, there is one adored constant - her four-and-a-half year old son Jack.

As managing director of Mosaic Fashions Ireland Ltd, which includes the Oasis, Coast, Karen Millen, and Whistles labels, she spends more time away from home than she would wish.

With full operational control of Oasis stores nationwide, she is responsible for setting sales targets, sourcing new premises, training development, deciding what’s hot and what’s not, visual merchandising standards, as well as dealing with HR issues and customer service standards. She averages 56 working hours per week.
