Dublin man critical after Spanish holiday attack

A YOUNG Irishman is in critical condition after being assaulted while on holiday in Spain.

Daniel O’Callaghan, aged 24, from Rathmines, Dublin, is in intensive care in a Gran Canaria hospital with severe head injuries.

It is understood Mr O’Callaghan was attacked early on Sunday morning last as he walked home after a night out. He had only arrived on the island the previous day.
