Transport talks aim to boost plan to ease traffic chaos

A TRANSPORT summit is to be held to drive forward a multi-billion euro plan that the Government hopes will finally ease Dublin’s chronic traffic congestion.

The round-table forum will take place after the Government next month announces details of a 10-year transport investment strategy.

Junior Transport Minister Ivor Callely yesterday said he wants to see a Metro line running from the city centre to the airport and then beyond to Swords in the north of the county.
