Immigration Bill passes in Dáil amid Opposition ‘rubber-stamping’ claims

THE controversial Immigration Bill was forced through all stages of the Dáil yesterday with just one of its 22 sections debated.

Opposition parties immediately seized on the move saying the Government had further diminished the standing of the Oireachtas.

The Bill will now pass to the Seanad next week for one final debate.
