Heat on Wright as FF probes bribe claims

THE pressure mounted on Fianna Fáil TD GV Wright last night as it emerged that payments he received from lobbyist Frank Dunlop will be investigated by his party’s ethics committee.

Fianna Fáil confirmed its Standards in Public Life Committee would next week discuss Mr Dunlop’s claims at the Planning Tribunal that he made illicit payments to the Dublin North TD in return for support for rezoning applications.

A party spokeswoman yesterday said the “recent issues on the tribunal statement will be discussed”.
