Legislation programme ‘a work of fiction’

THE Government’s legislation programme has been slammed as a “work of fiction” that no longer has any connection with reality.

Labour Party chief whip Emmet Stagg criticised what he said was dilly-dallying by the Government in publishing promised bills.

His criticism came after the Irish Examiner established that less than half of the 17 bills promised during the spring session of the Dáil and Seanad have appeared to date.
