Anti-child porn expert gives talk

A LEADING expert in the fight against internet child porn said yesterday the problem should be combated locally.

Terry Jones, a retired police officer, ran the abuse images unit in Manchester for eight years. “Most people think this should be treated as a global problem. The images come from all over the world but it should be solved locally,” he said.

He spoke yesterday at the COPINE conference in Cork.
