DISCRIMINATION against Travellers is still rife despite a huge drop in cases before the Equality Tribunal, a support group insisted yesterday.

Alleged Traveller discrimination cases brought under equal status laws fell by 30%, compared to 2002.

The Traveller support organisation, Pavee Point, said a combination of factors contributed to the fall, especially the number of cases being dealt with through a mediation process.
