€1.7m cannabis haul in Carlow

GARDAÍ yesterday made one of the biggest drug hauls in the South-East in recent years when they seized cannabis with a street value of €1.7m.

Gardaí in Carlow Town recovered the drugs in a swoop on a rented apartment in the Graiguecullen area of the town at around 9.45pm on Tuesday night.

It followed a seizure of €40,000 worth of cannabis resin in North Dublin at 8pm on Tuesday night.
