Gardaí fear gun attack could re-ignite Keane feud

The youth, who was hit by a shotgun blast at around 10.30am on Saturday, is related though marriage to Kieran Keane. Keane was abducted and shot dead on the outskirts of the city more than two years ago.

Gardaí believe that members of the McCarthy Dundon gang who are based in Ballinacurra Weston carried out the ambush attack on the youth as he drove near the Abbey Bridge.
