Volkswagen and Ford plan to work together on co-operative venture

Volkswagen AG and the Ford Motor Company have announced the first formal agreements in a broad alliance which will see a range of co-operative ventures between the two car makers.

Volkswagen CEO Dr Herbert Diess and Ford CEO Jim Hackett confirmed that the companies intend to develop commercial vans and medium-sized pickups for global markets beginning as early as 2022.
