Citroen introduce new SUV - C5 Aircross
Inspired directly by the Aircross Concept that was unveiled in 2015, it is said to combine an assertive design with interior space for the wellbeing of everyone onboard.
A ‘people-minded’ SUV, it benefits from the latest technologies that ensure easier driving and a modern approach to comfort. It also represents an important milestone in the development of the Citroen Advanced Comfort programme.
This is the world premiere of a revolutionary new suspension system with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, which delivers a uniquely smooth and comfortable ride that is typically Citroen.
The new C5 Aircross is scheduled to launch in China in the second half of this year and in Europe in 2018. Volkswagen is developing an entirely new range of avant-garde electric vehicles and provided an important preview of these new frontrunners of electric mobility at the Shanghai Motor Show.
Herbert Diess, chairman of the board of management at Volkswagen, said that by 2025 VW wants to boost annual sales of electric vehicles to 1m units. “The ID CROZZ will play a key role in that. Production will begin in 2020,” he said.
