Texaco’s holideals

Motorists have become more than familiar with the many inducements being placed in their way, mostly in the form of finance deals and offers aimed at encouraging them to trade upwards to a new car.

Texaco’s holideals

Latest to cast their net is Texaco whose parent, Valero Energy (Ireland), has introduced a promotion, for which a prize fund of eight, €3,000, week-long holidays on Italy’s picturesque Amalfi Coast is offered.

Running at participating stations until early-May, an interesting feature is the fact that purchases need only amount to €30 a time and the fact that multiple entries are permitted.

According to their marketing manager, Bronagh Carron motorists may be interested in the fact that entries can be made using latest Image Recognition Technology — the first time it is being used in the motor fuels sector in Ireland.

Developed by Cork-based software developer, Snipp Interactive, it enables motorists to use their smartphone to register online without the need for form filling or mailing.
