Peugeot 3008 named named the 2017 Car of the Year

The new Peugeot 3008, which we featured here at Examiner Motoring last week, has been named the 2017 Car of the Year in what was a surprisingly close contest.

The new 3008 was awarded a total of 319 points by the 58 voting journalists, ahead of the Alfa Romeo Giulia, which scored 296 points.

Indeed, these two finished well clear of the Mercedes E-Class, which got 197 points, the Volvo S90/V90, which scored 172, the Citroen C3, which clocked up 166 points, the Toyota C-HR, which got 165 points, and the Nissan Micra which got 135 points.
