New electric Volkswagen is on the way

VW’s attempted recovery from the ‘dieselgate’ scandal continues and this month it is unveiling a new model in its I.D. electric line.

VW says this new era of electric mobility begins at the North American International Auto Show, this month, in Detroit. There, VW will present a new model of the I.D. family, which it describes as “a multifunctional vehicle of a new era”.

The concept vehicle is said to forge links between the origins of the Volkswagen brand and its electric future. Like the I.D., this concept is also based on the modular electric drive kit (MEB), and so it shows the potential and bandwidth of the MEB.
