Renault launch new Mégane Grand Coupé

The new car is a four door with striking sleek saloon design and the model completes Renault’s offering in the segment and strengthens the brand’s position in Ireland, where compact saloons remain the preferred choice for comfort and space.

Manufactured at Renault’s Bursa plant in Turkey and set to go on sale in nearly 30 countries, the all-new Mégane Grand Coupé contributes to the brand’s global growth and the extension of its product range.

Based upon Renault’s CMF C/D architecture, the new Mégane Grand Coupé was conceived, designed and developed in tandem with the all-new Mégane — see main review — which was launched in June 2016. This means it benefits from the same features, technology and engine variants as its five-door sibling, while adding record-breaking roominess for its class with generous space for its occupants and a boot volume of 550dm3 VDA.

Its generous dimensions (4.63m long and 1.81m wide, with a record wheelbase in its class of 2.71m) give all-new Mégane Grand Coupé an imposing presence and provide additional space and comfort for occupants. For the Grand Coupé version, all-new Mégane’s wheelbase has been extended by 42mm to give even more legroom in back.
