Motors & Me: Patrick McSweeney and his 1998 Rolls Royce
Rolls Royce Silver Seraph 1998.
I spent a number of years searching for a Silver Seraph. Only a limited edition were built from 1998 to 2002, when they were discontinued. Around 1,500 were built in total. The one I have was once owned by the former England football mangager Bobby Robinson.
V12 Rolls Royce engine.
Very much a Sunday driver! Trips to shows and stationary days, that sort of thing.
My first car was a Baby Austin.
I own a Bentley Mark 6, which is a genuine Irish car with Irish plates. I also own a Rolls Royce Corniche.
Two years ago, six other cars and ourselves went to Holland, through Ireland, England, France, Brussels and into Holland. Great road trip.
I always enjoy travelling with my wife, Anne, my friends from the Rolls Royce Club and of course all our grandchildren.
A passenger that I would least like to travel with would be someone full of praise for themselves whilst downgrading others.
Nothing like a bit of Country & Western while I’m driving!
